Wikipedia defines Afrofuturism as: an emergent literary and cultural aesthetic that combines elements of science fiction, historical fiction, fantasy and magic realism with non-Western cosmologies in order to critique not only the present-day dilemmas of people of color, but also to revise, interrogate, and re-examine the historical events of the past.

Or more simply,and less precisely Any kind of Speculative-Fic with Minorites.

That Minorites are regularly marginalized in all forms of speculative fiction has already been stated many times before. Check out the Lotr epic for example. The only non-white characters in Tolkiens epic are the dark and "swarthy pirates"...because we all know niggas love booty.
